Letitia Clark is the definition of Dope & Degreed! Letitia has served her community of Tustin, California for over 20 years. Her journey to leadership began at Tustin High School. Throughout her senior year, she served in many leadership positions. She served as the student body president, caption of the cheerleading team, and was homecoming queen! Most importantly, she is an HBCU alumna of Xavier University of Louisiana where she majored in political science.

Letitia went on to further her education at both New England College & Harvard University. In 2016, she ran for City Council and won, making her name for herself in California politics as the only female candidate of color. But this is not the only aspect of her career that makes her Dope & Degreed. During her candidacy for Mayor, she made it her mission to speak on racial injustice. Upon the murder of George Floyd, Letitia released a video statement to show her support of systematic change. Not only did she do this but pulled together the members of the Tustin council to release a formal statement showcasing solidarity for change. She made residents aware of the importance of their vote on both the state and local level. She reassured Tustin residents that their voices were being heard and that she would make sure of it. Letitia also encourages other cities to create a program similar to Tuston’s Citizen’s Academy, which allows residents and police officers to have an open forum for discussion that directly connects the two. solidarity for change. These include; OC Family Magazine's Inspiring Moms, OC Martin Luther King Hall of Fame Inductee, OC Metro Magazine's Top 25 Leaders on a "Hot" Streak and so many more. She also continues to serve her neighborhood directly as a volunteer board member for the Community Health Initiative of Orange County and Clinic in the Park. Letitia Clark serves as an amazing representative of the HBCU community and we are proud to call her our cousin. Through service, leadership, and awareness, Letitia is truly Dope & Degreed!
